Every October SMAGA hosts a Social Event for the allotments of the Borough like no other. The Council allotment officers and a representative from the Mayors office attend to present annual awards to the sites in the borough (both SMAGA affiliated or otherwise) and the evening has entertainment and dancing. The food for the last two years has been amply provided by members of one of the sites and is a 'home - made' extravaganza, the likes of which you would be hard pushed to find anywhere in the country - let alone in Stockport!
This years evening was a massive success and many are eagerly looking forwards to 2008.
